For the first time since 2015, Tom DeLonge, Travis Barker, and Mark Hoppus are reuniting as Blink-182 for a new international tour. On Friday, the group will also release a brand-new song called "Edging," the first time the trio has been in the studio together in ten years.
Turnstile in North America, Rise Against in Australia, The Story So Far in the United Kingdom and Europe, and Wallows in Latin America will all be featured on the international tour. On Monday, October 17, Blink-182's tour tickets go on sale at 10:00 a.m. at blink182.com.
Blink-182 was founded in 1992 by DeLonge and Hoppus, and Barker joined as the band's drummer in 1998. In 2005, the group took a break and looked into side projects, with DeLonge concentrating on his group Angels & Airwaves. In 2009, they came back together for a tour and new music, but DeLonge left the group in 2015. While DeLonge pursued his own music and studied UFOs, Matt Skiba of the Alkaline Trio replaced him and even served as executive producer of the History Channel's "Unidentified: Inside America's UFO Investigation."
Since then, Barker has worked with numerous other musicians, and Blink-182 and Skiba have put out two albums, "California" in 2016 and "Nine" in 2019. Hoppus revealed in 2021 that he had been given a cancer diagnosis, but he has since been cancer-free. Following his diagnosis, he started hanging out with Barker and DeLonge, which led many fans to imagine a reunion.
