At a wild Rangers game, Jimmy Fallon fails to gulp beer
1 beer — 0 Jimmy Fallon
The talk show host was the center of attention during the Rangers' game against the Tampa Bay Lightning in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Thursday night.
In a now-viral social media video, the "Tonight Show" host was seen furiously scoffing a hot dog after dunking it in his drink in front of a raucous crowd at Madison Square Garden.
He then stuffed the bread bun in his face and attempted to wash it down with a cool drink.
Fallon's chugging efforts were called into question, though, when the comedian managed to miss his mouth while supporters roared.
After his disastrous try, one fan couldn't resist but stroke Fallon's head in delight.
Fallon eventually appeared in the stands wearing a Rangers jersey after exchanging his beer-stained sweater for something more appropriate.
Fans couldn't stop laughing as they hurried to Twitter to express their comments on the comedian's fantastic night out.
"That's how you know someone is wealthy." "Dude just tossed 40 dollars on the ground," one amused fan tweeted.
"He was destroying that glizzy," said another.
"Dipping a glizzy in your drink and cramming it in your mouth is insane behavior," wrote a third.
Last night, it wasn't just Fallon who was defeated.
In the tough struggle for a position in the Stanley Cup Final, the Rangers were defeated 3-1 by the Lightning.
Fists flew shortly after the game as Bolts captain Steven Stamkos and Rangers forward Alexis Lafreniere locked jaws behind Igor Shesterkin's net before dropping the gloves.
For their troubles, the two received fighting majors on the scoresheet.
